the best vegan hot cocoa

Vegan winter warming hot cocoa
prep time: 10mins / serves: 2

  • hot cocoa
  • 200ml vegan milk
  • 200ml vegan oatly single cream, or more vegan milk
  • 3-4 tbsp nature’s store “nutella”
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • whipped cream
  • 1/3 cup vegan whipping cream, I use oatly
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla

Add the vegan whipping cream, maple syrup, cinnamon & vanilla to a small bowl. With an electric whisk whip until stiff peaks form, transfer to the fridge whilst you make the hot cocoa.
Add the vegan milk, “nutella”, cocoa powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg & vanilla to a small saucepan. Over medium-high heat constantly whisk the mixture until fully combined and hot, pour into 2 small mugs and top with the whipped cream. Optionally serve with shaved chocolate, enjoy!
